Gratitude of an Elderly Feline: A Heartwarming Tale of a 17-Year-Old Cat Finding Love in Her New Family

It’s incredibly cruel to abandon an animal, especially one that you’ve taken care of in the past. Unfortunately, sometimes unforeseeable events like the death of the owner can result in this happening. Nonetheless, it’s important to take responsibility for the animals we bring into our lives and make sure they’re taken care of, even if we’re no longer able to do so ourselves.

When a former house pet ends up in a shelter, they can feel disoriented and confused about their current situation. Being adopted by a loving family is the ideal outcome for these animals, but unfortunately, it can be difficult for older pets to find new homes. Many potential adopters prefer younger animals, leaving senior furry friends to wait longer for a forever home.

After the unfortunate demise of Kiki’s owner, her relatives took her to a shelter with the hope of finding her a new home. However, due to her age of 17 years, the possibility of her getting adopted was quite slim. Fortunately, the Adventure Rescue League intervened and decided to take care of her needs. The organization specializes in providing sanctuary to senior cats and those with special needs. Kiki found her way to their facility where she will receive all the love and attention she deserves.

Kiki was left at a shelter when she was only 17 years old. Fortunately, Kitty Adventure Rescue League took her in and now she expresses her joy every day. She has found a new family at KARL and she loves them dearly. It was impossible to leave Kiki at the shelter, which is why KARL rescues special needs and aging cats. It is sad to see how many people abandon their elderly pets at shelters or on the streets.
