“The Story of a Resilient Kitten with Teddy Bear Ears Finding Her Dream Home”

A small kitten with deformed legs was brought to Friends for Life Rescue Network in Los Angeles in hopes of finding a brighter future.

“Quill was born with tight ligaments and tendons in her front wrists, resulting in twisted legs,” Jacqueline DeAmor, the rescue’s founder, shared.

Mel and Zane Lamprey, who are foster volunteers at the rescue, quickly offered to care for the little cat. They affectionately named her Quill and soon found out that she was a natural cuddler.

She was immediately put on a physical therapy regimen in hopes that it would straighten out her twisted legs.

Jacqueline explained that she warms up her wrists using a cozy cat heating pad, followed by gentle massages and stretches to relax the tendons and ligaments, with the goal of realigning the bones as they grow.

Quill will soon start receiving weekly splints to help enhance her range of motion. She is doing incredibly well during physiotherapy sessions and takes on challenges with ease, showing her resilience just like any other kitten.

This little furry bundle of chocolate-colored fluff has mastered the art of receiving lots of affection from her temporary caretakers. According to Mel from Love Meow, she is playful, inquisitive, affectionate, and especially attached to her foster dad. He can’t resist giving her lots of attention after her physical therapy sessions by swooping in and showering her with love and cuddles.

Quill’s favorite spot to hang out is on her foster dad’s neck, where she loves to snuggle up and relax. However, she also has a playful side and enjoys exploring her surroundings like any other curious kitten.

However, her preferred snuggle session occurs after her dinner, typically in a “purrito style,” where she eventually drifts off to sleep in the warmth of their embrace as she purrs contentedly.
