Rather, adding several layers of sheer black lining instead of a “nude” one could improve it. However, the real issue with this look is not the dress itself, but rather the styling. The neckline of the dress would benefit from a choker or pendant. Moreover, the wet hair look does not work well in this context. With the minimal makeup and dress design in mind, it seems that the style team aimed for a soaking wet look, as if she emerged from a pool in her gown. While this approach might be effective in an editorial, on the red carpet, it just looks like she got caught in the rain.
