During the beginning of November, a three-year-old canine known as “Dice” was found trapped in a cage that was left abandoned in the courtyard of an unoccupied apartment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The situation was brought to the attention of the authorities by a group of attentive children who noticed the helpless animal. Tracey Godin, one of the co-founders of Feeling Fine Rescue, revealed that Dice was abandoned by the previous tenants who were evicted from the apartment, and he was left without any provisions such as water or food. According to the kids who informed the police, Dice had been locked up in the cage for at least seven days.
Although Dice didn’t spend much time with his family, it seems like they may have neglected him. Tracey reported that he had been undernourished for several months and may have experienced additional hardship in the past week.
Tracey and her daughter, Micaela, had a scheduled visit to the vet for their beloved pet, Dice. Before heading to the appointment, they made a quick stop at the shelter to pick up Dice. However, they noticed that the poor pooch was having trouble walking, constantly stumbling even after just a short distance. Things took a turn for the worse when Dice suddenly collapsed in the parking lot of the veterinary clinic, unable to support his own weight. Tracey couldn’t help but feel worried about Dice’s chances of survival at that moment.
