Heterochromia is a condition that can affect both humans and animals alike. Its name comes from the Greek words “heteros,” meaning different, and “chroma,” meaning color. The majority of cases are congenital or present at birth, and are referred to as genetic heterochromia. Fortunately, cats with heterochromia do not experience any associated medical issues.
