In Chicago, a woman found a cardboard box outside her porch and upon opening it, she was taken aback to find a tiny scared kitten inside. She noticed that the kitten had big eyes and also suffered from an injury, prompting her to quickly take it to the vet clinic for immediate treatment.

The kitten had a big injury on its neck that needed immediate stitching, and the following day it was given a thorough check-up. According to the vet, Alice Hall, the kitten was initially timid and quiet, but as time passed, it became more sociable and playful. The little feline captured Alice’s heart, and she developed a strong bond with it during their brief time together.

Alice was faced with the decision of giving a foster home to a kitten and ultimately couldn’t resist taking him in. The doctor commenting “how can you say no?” shows the natural inclination to want to help an animal in need. The kitten was given the name Porg, inspired by the lovable creature from Star Wars with large, innocent eyes. However, Porg’s life was anything but easy from the start.

Upon examination, Alice, an expert in veterinary care, quickly diagnosed the kitten with a skin disorder. After conducting a skin biopsy, it was revealed that the cat suffered from congenital Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which affects the skin and joints due to a lack of collagen. To manage the condition, special medication and daily use of fabric on the body were required, prompting the owner to find comfortable suits for the feline. From that moment on, Alice knew that Porg, who had become part of her family, would need ongoing care and attention.

Despite additional health issues, including an eye disease, Porg remains active, playful and curious like any other cat. Alice describes him as having a lovable personality, a big heart, and a deep affection for food. Porg enjoys receiving hugs and is known to have the loudest purr among cats. Alice and her family cherish him deeply and are grateful for the happiness he brings to their lives.

Porg’s early life was difficult, having been left on someone’s doorstep in a cardboard box. However, he has since learned what it feels like to be loved and cared for as a cherished pet.
