A Heartbreaking Sight: Stray Pups and Their Sickly Mother Wandering the Cold Streets

Hosu uuuuuun, a Korean non-profit animal rescue organization, recently received a distress signal from a local resident regarding two young puppies who were wandering the streets. The puppies were suffering from serious skin diseases and were stuck together under a vehicle in the pouring rain. Unfortunately, due to the overgrowth of grass and bugs, the severity of their skin disease was underestimated. These poor puppies were hungry and frightened of people. During their search, the rescue team discovered a mother dog who was weak and scared on the street. It was incredibly sad to think of how much more the rain would have hurt these little ones with their dirty, infected skin during the rainy season. “For now, we have temporarily housed the two puppies in a small shelter and provided them with food and water. Our goal is to locate and capture the mother, but she’s too scared and tries to hide from us,” said one volunteer. Fortunately, the next day, the mother was successfully rescued with the help of several dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly in the bitter cold. According to experts, the puppies require four weeks of isolation and hospitalization for proper veterinary care.

There are two puppies in the story: Haetal, a male with severe mange who receives daily treatment, and Seongkal, a little female who is scared of humans and hides in corners because of her sharp teeth. The mother dog, Banya, also suffers from a serious skin condition and is frightened.

It’s been ten days since the incident, and I’m happy to report that both the puppies and their mother are making progress. Their skin is starting to heal, and hair growth has begun. Haetal, the boy who found them, is not scared anymore and has become quite friendly with them. However, the mother and Seongkal, the girl, are still a bit frightened.

After spending a month in the hospital, I am delighted to say that all three of them have recovered completely and are ready to be discharged. Haetal, as energetic as ever, runs around the hospital like it’s his playground. On the other hand, Seongkal will be going to a new and loving family, which is a great relief for all of us.
