A pair discovered a little feline in their garden, and along came their turtle from his underground home with another one.
A Las Vegas couple discovered two kittens in their backyard six weeks ago. They sought help from a local animal rescuer, Patricia Lika, who was surprised to find out that the kittens were born inside a burrow where they were initially hidden by their mother. Unfortunately, the cat mother never returned to the burrow leaving behind the kittens. The homeowners have a rescue tortoise in their backyard who emerged from hibernation and brought one of the kittens with him. Another kitten was discovered in the burrow, while the third kitten remained out of reach deep in the burrow.
The kitten rescuers utilized a baby monitor by placing it in the burrow to keep track of the kitten’s movement. Once they spotted it, they acted immediately and managed to retrieve it with a pole. They continued monitoring the cameras for some time to ensure that there were no additional kittens, however, the mother never returned. The three kittens, named Marshmallow, Bisquick, and Stormtrooper, were taken into Patricia’s foster care. After having a good meal, they started to feel better and showed new energy by rolling around, wrestling and kneading on their soft blanket. The trio quickly adapted to their new routine and had no problem adjusting to the formula. During mealtime, they eagerly awaited their bottles and were not shy about voicing their opinions. These roly-polies loved belly rubs, enjoyed being held, and two of them were very vocal and enjoyed being babied often.
The two siblings who are cats have made considerable progress and have moved to a larger play area. They enjoy racing around and chasing each other, while also improving their pouncing and climbing skills. When Patricia comes into the room, they all rush to greet her, competing for her attention. They’ll climb onto her shoulder, snuggle up in her lap, or cuddle into her arms, relishing the affection. “They’re extremely cuddly. They adore people and attention. Belly rubs are their favorite.” These kittens are around 8-9 weeks old and are becoming a lively, curious group of animals. They will be neutered when they are large enough for adoption and will look for a loving home to call their own. Patricia went to save a kitten from a garden but ended up rescuing three that had been born in a tortoise burrow. The kittens have developed into stunning young felines with charming personalities.
The group of three will forever be sheltered and never have to endure the cold, with a comfortable lap always available for them to sit on.
