Every week, Tim Pink and Erin Prevost take around 50 dogs out for walks, regardless of breed. The dogs are split up into groups based on their size, and they participate in Saratoga Dog Walkers’ “Mid Day Pack Walk Program,” an afternoon activity that has become quite popular. This program aims to satisfy the natural instinct of dogs to travel in packs, which is something that most cannot experience. Tim says that by walking together regularly, they are nurturing a community of well-behaved dogs that feel like family.
Tim takes a thoughtful approach when introducing a new pooch to the gang. He takes time to bond with the dog first, observing their interaction with other dogs and assessing their level of training. Tim even goes the extra mile by remembering the name and unique characteristics of each furry buddy, creating a strong personal connection with them.
Their walks are no quick strolls either, lasting at least 30 minutes and sometimes extending up to 45 minutes. Once the walk is over, Tim ensures that the dogs are cleaned thoroughly of any rain or dirt before returning them home. Rain or shine, these walks take place, although if the weather gets too rough, each pup receives their own designated pee break.
